The summit will be conducted in English and French. Other languages will be available upon request. We can accommodate language requests in Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, Spanish, Arabic, German, Korean and Portuguese. Attendees may bring interpreters to the event and will need to ensure that the interpreter’s registration is paid. Interpreters will have access to all events so they can accompany their executive throughout the conference.
Airport transfers by bus will be available upon reservation only.
Post event optional site visits will be organized to allow delegates from Africa to learn best practices in U.S. firms and all delegates are invited to visit various African embassies.
Optional post-Summit tours within Washington DC will be offered to you and your family.
A full buffet-style lunch will be provided to delegates each day of the Summit, as well as a morning and afternoon tea and coffee break with light snacks (registration needed).
A series of roundtables that address specific issues relevant to particular countries. This is an opportunity to interact with governments from that country and delve into their specific challenges and opportunities.

The information desk will be set up from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM on June 25 and June 26, 2018.
Participants’ lounge and computers with internet access and printing facilities will be provided. A technical staff will be on site to assist participants. VIP lounges will be accessible by invitation only.
A Media Center will be available as a workspace for the media to cover ATIGS 2018. Press will also have access to the internet, printers and fax machines.

Broadcasters interested in conducting live interviews will be available. All broadcasters’ trucks will be parked on the street leading into the venue.
Bilateral Meeting Rooms for Officials and Heads of Delegations will be available at no cost for delegations by reservation only. Each room will be available in 30 minute increments and can accommodate 10 to 15 seats. Delegates should allow 15 minutes between bilateral meetings for room refreshment to be replenished by hotel staff. Bilateral Meeting Rooms may be reserved in advance by submitting a completed Bilateral Meeting Room Booking Form to Global Attain Advancement. Bilateral Meeting Rooms may also be reserved on site by either submitting a Bilateral Meeting Room Booking Form via email or visiting the Information Desk at the Summit venue.
Use the online Summit Matchmaking tool to schedule one-on-one meetings in private rooms with top investors, TPOs and IPAs, economic development leaders, professional service providers and international government officials, among others.
The VIP lounge will include business services, WiFi, quiet meeting space for you and 1 to 3 guests, light refreshments and beverages throughout the day, and relaxed seating.
A tentative schedule of press conferences will be available. Most briefings will also be webcast live. Only appointed and accredited medias will be able to access the room. The final schedule outlining press events will be available upon registration. The press conference room is free for TPOs and IPAs for the sole purpose of addressing journalists. Reservations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
An exclusive Red Carpet Route will be laid out ahead of the arrival of Summit dignitaries.
High caliber speakers from business and government will be in attendance. Special side events on niche topics as well as cross-industry themes will be available.
A guided tour to TPOs and IPAs exhibition and sponsors’ exhibition will be available. This unique opportunity provides selected tour participants a clear and concise overview of various African countries’ trade and investment opportunities of interest to them. The guided tour will last approximately 1 and a half hours. ATIGS Guided Tours guarantees you will never miss the highlights in your special area of interest. IPOs and IPAs will be given five minutes each to pitch their locations. Sponsor exhibitors will demonstrate true innovations and optimal solutions of their brands in five minutes pitches.
An official networking app will be launched closer to the date of the Summit to allow delegates to message other delegates and view the latest summit agenda and schedule, facilitate quality networking opportunities and more.
Government to Government (G2G) Meetings will be one of the features designed for high government officials to discuss investment projects and prospective partnerships from different regions. This feature will be made available to all registered participants who can communicate and set up meetings prior to the event.
A dedicated area in the Summit space will be available for meetings between interested parties and global FDI experts participating in ATIGS 2018. A large number of international consultancy firms specializing in marketing countries and locations and having great expertise and capabilities will also be in attendance. They specialize in important topics such as international lead generation, FDI strategy development and business expansion management. Registered country representatives, investment promotion officials and delegates in general will have the opportunity to meet, direct questions to and seek guidance from highly professional investment experts on specific issues of concern in their line of business.
A special ceremony will be held for the signature of cooperation agreements and memoranda of understanding agreed to by governments or with private sector representatives. The national and international medias will be invited to attend this important event and information will be made available to interested parties.
In a special ceremony to be held at the Gala Dinner, Investment and Trade Awards will be granted to selected IPOs and TPAs from various African regions in recognition of their outstanding work in successfully attracting the best investment or best international trade projects in their regions.
A cocktail will be organized solely dedicated to speakers and event partners of ATIGS 2018 in appreciation to their contribution to ATIGS and to allow them to meet and network.
ATIGS 2018 Ministerial Roundtable is designed to allow Ministers in charge of investment, economy, finance, foreign trade, foreign affairs, trade affairs and development cooperation to discuss and share their views and lessons learned as well as present their personal assessments on the central theme of the Summit.
