Mr. Fernando Dolbeth Assunção is the Managing Partner of Pulsar Development International Ltd,  and Managing Director of First African Investment Holding. He is based in Lisbon and Luanda and holds dual citizenships of Portugal and Angola. He has a strong business development background and has spent his entire career in building insurance ventures across Africa and Europe, building an excellent network across the Sub-Saharan region. Having hold senior management positions with European and African insurance companies, Fernando has a strong background in finance industry. He previously served as Chief Executive Officer at GA Angola Seguros S.A. Mr. Assunção began his career in Portugal, in 1998 when he joined Combined Insurance Company of America. Richelle Speights, Founder & CEO of Franchise Africa, organizer of ATIGS Agriculture Marketplace joins the Nigeria Trade Mission (August 5th-12th, 2017) to begin engagement about ATIGS Agriculture Pavilion. Trade mission organized by Nigeria Initiative for Economic Development (NIED) in collaboration with Nigeria American Chamber of Commerce & US Commercial Services. Trade mission included meeting with the Nigeria Vice President, Nigeria National economic team, Federal ministers, state governors & business executives from private sector among others.

ATIGS IN LOME-TOGO

ATIGS team attended the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA) Forum in Lome, Togo from Aug. 8-10, 2017 in Lome, Togo to engage on ATIGS agenda. The theme of this year’s Forum was “The U.S. and Africa: Partnering for Prosperity through Trade.”  The 2017 Forum will explore how countries can continue to maximize the benefits of AGOA. ATIGS will host the US-Africa Manufacturing Forum, part of ATIGS 2018.

INTRODUCING ATIGS 2018 PARTNER COUNTRY

Every edition, one African country will be spotlighted at the Africa Trade & Investment Global Summit (ATIGS) as the Official Partner Country. In 2018, ATIGS will honor one leading trade & investment country as the Official Partner Country, a golden opportunity to showcase companies, products, services, projects and experiences from the Partner Country and will be offered the premium pavilion position in busy exhibition hall at ATIGS 2018.

The Partner Country will be the star attraction on the Africa-global trade & investment stage for an entire duration of ATIGS planning and on-site at ATIGS 2018. In its role as the Partner Country, program will be geared to attract foreign investment and expand export business, and showcase itself as an attractive location for investment and reinforce its reputation in the growing sectors in the country. An announcement will be made when a formal agreement for ATIGS 2018 Partner Country participation has been signed by representatives of ATIGS and the Partner Country government.

He is also the National Chairman of United Democratic Party (UDP), a Cameroon people’s alternative political party founded in 1990 with significant party agenda for development. Holds a Knight of Cameroon Order of Merit (COM), for his developments service & medal of Honor recipient as one of Cameroon meritorious men.
